The purposes of this project are to broadcast via mobile phones the DMI forecast data by Black Sea, Aegean Sea and Mediterranean Sea regions, and to ensure that regional sea forecast data are retrieved in more details by entering the GPS coordinates in mobile phone, and to ensure that if requested, for instance, wind model of the selected region is downloaded to the mobile phone (as in computers).
Turkish Cruiser Mate is supplying Sea Information via java-supported Mobile Phones through all mobile phone operators. Containing not only detailed sea forecasts, but also the warnings, notices, measurements and other sea information, TCM service presently covers all of the Turkish seas from Marmara to Antalya.
Yearly cost of the code purchasable via internet in order to have access to the TCM service, being a program downloadable to the mobile phone, is 82.6 YTL. For more details, please see www.cruisermate.com.
