While you wait
Visit the observation decks at the rail station and on the roof of the new concourse B. * In the early 1900s, the postal service developed standards for airports in the US. *Terminal design was a stand-alone building modelled on railway station design. The interior resembled a lobby of a hotel with comfortable chairs and a few other facilities. *Passengers were well-to-do wearing their ''Sunday best'' and dropped off by limousine or private automobile. *In the late 1920s, a daily average of 100 passengers and 20 flights was considered a ''busy airport''. Today's busiest airport, Atlanta Hartsfield, counted 228 thousand daily passengers in 2004.
