From Barbados with love
The Crane resort stands on the southern shore of Barbados on a hill that slopes down to the sea. This quiet oasis of calm is probably one of the most beautiful spots on the Caribbean. The only sound you hear is of waves lapping the shore. The shore road runs through banana plantations and small fishing villages, overlooking virgin beaches. The Crane was built in 1887, making it the first resort on the island. From the beginning, guests have fallen in love with the resort, always swearing to return. One guest, Peter Doyle, was so entranced by the resort that, after staying here just once, he bought The Crane. Since 1996, he has been preparing the resort for the future. His aim is to create a traditional style for tomorrow that is inspired by the past. As a result, The Crane blends 19th century charm with 21st century comfort, luxury and calm.
